Graham Alexander was pleased with the response and fight his side showed following this afternoon's 3-2 victory at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

The Bantams clawed themselves back after going two goals down inside 16 minutes, securing all three points, ensuring they have taken something from a losing position in each of their last three away games.

The City boss was pleased with his side's character and grit to not only come back, but see out the remaining 25 minutes of the game with 10 players.

Alexander said: “We had to fight today. I am really happy with the players.

“We had to dig deep to come back into the game. We responded quickly, and that stopped the game running away from us.

“We were much better after the opening 20 minutes - we competed better and performed better.

“The last part of the game with 10 men was difficult. We had to again show our fight - and it is a third away game on the trot we have come back from behind in.”

The Bantams boss described how all games are about moments, how and when you take them, and how this can swing momentum, and he was pleased his side proved able to take their chances to come back with all three points.

He City’s No.1 Sam Walker following a impressive second-half display, admitting the Bantams relied on him at times, as City were peppered with crosses and set-pieces for the majority of the second half.

“Games are all about moments, and we capitalised on ours,” Alexander added.

“Those moments can swing for you or against you.

“Jamie's first goal was a great finish, as was the other goals. I thought we were the better team and competed better after the opening 20 minutes.

“It was down to character in that last half-hour. We had a lot of crosses and set-pieces to deal with.

“They are one of the highest-scoring set-piece sides in the division. It was about who wanted it more.

“Sam (Walker) was superb and we relied on him, he was a real calming influence.

“They stood up to the test in the late stages of the game. We dug another good result out. We cannot continue to do it that way, but we showed fantastic resilience once again.”
