Come in Number 9...

17 September 2012

City striker James Hanson has been recognised for his part in helping Phil Parkinson's men to victory over Barnet at the weekend.

Hanson popped up just after the break against the Bees to net the crucial opening goal - his fourth of the season - and set the Bantams on their way to a pleasing 3-0 home win in the process.

As reward for Hanson's efforts, Prostate Cancer UK - the official charity of the Football League - have named the giant forward as one of their top number 9's in the Championship, League 1 and League 2 for the weekend of the 15/16th September.

Prostate Cancer UK representative Adrian Clarke - a football-turned-journalist who played for Arsenal, Southend United, Rotherham United and Carlisle United - has been asked to select his best number 9's throughout the season in recognition of the fact that prostate cancer affects one in nine men.

City supporters can find out more about why Hanson has been selected this week by clicking HERE.
