A big thank you

29 December 2013

Macmillan Cancer Support and Bradford City would like to thank fans for their donations during the bucket collection held at the Coral Windows Stadium ahead of the club's Sky Bet League 1 home fixture against Rotherham United on Boxing Day (Thursday 26 December 2013).

Donations made to Macmillan Cancer Support by supporters on Boxing Day raised £2,581.59p in total for the charity.

A massive thank you once again to all fans for their help last Thursday.

City had already worked in partnership with Macmillan earlier this season when Bantams kit man Graham (John) Duckworth (pictured) organised a coffee morning back in September, held in the Bantams Bar at Valley Parade, to help raise funds for the charity.

Macmillan Cancer Support delivers life changing services for people living with cancer. Macmillan Nurses, GP’s and other healthcare professionals work tirelessly in local communities to support people affected by cancer at the most difficult time of their life. In West Yorkshire, a staggering 29 people hear the devastating news they have cancer every day, and 14 people die from the illness daily.
