Bucket collection Boxing Day

26 December 2013

Macmillan Cancer Support will be holding a bucket collection outside the Coral Windows Stadium ahead of City's Sky Bet League 1 home fixture against Rotherham United on Boxing Day (Thursday 26 December 2013).

With a bumper crowd expected for the festive Yorkshire derby,

City have already worked in partnership with Macmillan earlier this season when Bantams kit man Graham (John) Duckworth organised a coffee morning back in September, held in the Bantams Bar at Valley Parade, to help raise funds for the charity.

Macmillan Cancer Support delivers life changing services for people living with cancer. Macmillan Nurses, GP’s and other healthcare professionals work tirelessly in local communities to support people affected by cancer at the most difficult time of their life. In West Yorkshire, a staggering 29 people hear the devastating news they have cancer every day, and 14 people die from the illness daily.
the home match should hopefully be the perfect opportunity for supporters from both sides to help raise vital funds for a worthy cause.
