Sky Bet League 1 market move

24 December 2013

Leyton Orient and Wolves are both on the drift after failing to win on Saturday but they remain in the automatic promotion spots regardless.

Orient moved from 9/2 to 5/1 for the title after suffering a shock 3-2 loss at home to Crawley, while title favourites Wolves are back to evens after being held by Rotherham, City's opponents on Boxing Day.

Wolves were odds-on heading into the weekend, but they’ve now gone three games without a win as the Millers extended their unbeaten run to seven.

Steve Evans’ men are now 2/1 from 9/4 for a top-six finish after maintaining their position in the play-off spots, while they’re in to 13/2 to be promoted.

However, there’s no doubting who the division’s form team are as Brentford made in nine wins from their last 10 league outings – they’re now 7/2 second favourites for the title.

The Bees were a massive 28/1 after their last league defeat, a 2-1 loss to Stevenage in October, but they’re now odds-on (4/5) to go up having been evens before the weekend.

Meanwhile, MK Dons’ Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford took his goal tally to 13 in Sky Bet League 1 during his side’s 3-0 win over Port Vale.

He’s now joint-second top scorer and has had his odds to top the pile at the end of the season trimmed – from 12/1 from 14/1, but Leigh Griffiths (7/2) and City's own Nahki Wells (4/1) remain first and second favourites respectively.
