We Made History - The Fans Film

2 December 2013

City supporters will have the chance to watch a special short film marking the club's Wembley triumph that has been made by their own fellow fans.

The 13-minute film, which premiered at a special showing this Monday, shows the day of City's League 2 Play-Off Final victory over Northampton Town last May through the eyes of Bradford fans.

Filmed by fans using nothing but their phones and their personal cameras, the short movie follows City supporters from the morning of the game as they make their way to Wembley, all the way through to the moments after Phil Parkinson's men seal promotion into League 1.

Fans were asked to submit their own video footage via social media networks to create a visual documentation of this special event seen from the fans' eyes.

Film maker / musician, David Nowakowski - a lifelong City fan - sifted through the raw material and, working with the Minneapolis Film School, produced a short film which will be showcased at the National Media Museum in the lead up to Christmas.

David, who is member of the band Scars on 45, said: “I was overwhelmed at the response and received over 1000 clips of footage. I approached this as a social media experiment which has turned out to be something really rather special.”
