Parkinson thanks Napoleons

25 January 2013

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson may have received countless messages of congratulations over the last few days since Tuesday's dramatic Capital One Cup Semi-Final victory, but the City chief has taken time out to deliver a special message of his own.

Hours after booking their place in the Capital One Cup Final at Aston Villa, Parkinson's men returned back to Bradford to begin the celebrations as the City squad and staff members toasted their truly amazing achievements.

Thanks to the assistance of Assistant General Manager Barry Bradley, Napoleons Casino in Bradford - sponsors of the 1911 Club at the Coral Windows Stadium - kindly provided the venue for City's after-match celebrations.

Despite plans for such a party only being arranged shortly after the full time whistle at Villa Park, Parkinson was thrilled with the service his players and staff received at Napoleons, and the Bantams boss wanted to place on record his thanks for their outstanding hospitality.

Parkinson said: "I'd really like to thank Napoleons Casino in Bradford, especially Barry Bradley and the casino's staff, for helping the lads to celebrate the memorable events of Tuesday."

"Obviously not wanting to tempt fate, we had chosen not to organise any post-match celebrations of our own for if we did get through.

"Thankfully, this is where Napoleons stepped in at the drop of a hat really. They opened up their doors to us to give the lads a place to relax, reflect and really soak in what had just happened.

"After the amazing amount of effort they had put in during the game, I felt it was really important that the lads were given the opportunity to properly celebrate their achievements, and Napoleons really helped make this a reality. We can't thank them enough."
