Season Ticket sales reach new heights

31 July 2013

City fans have once again shown their tremendous support and loyalty to the football club by helping the Bantams to register record-breaking Season Ticket sales ahead of the new 2013/2014 campaign.

With the deadline for the lowest set of prices for Season Tickets arriving this Wednesday evening, club officials can now confirm that City have sold over 12,750 tickets for the forthcoming season.

The figure, which does include FlexiCard sales, is the highest seen by City since the club's spell in the Premier League between 1999 and 2001.

The previous high was 12,200 set ahead of the 2007/08 season following the appointment of City legend Stuart McCall into the Bantams hotseat.

The mark the occasion, joint-chairman Mark Lawn was on hand at the Coral Windows Stadium to give a special shirt to City fan Debi Hibbert - the supporter who actually purchased Season Ticket number 12,750.

The 2013/2014 home shirt, which has 12,750 printed on the back, was also signed by Lawn and Bantams boss Phil Parkinson for Debi and her eight year-old son Lucas.

Speaking about City's incredible Season Ticket sales figures, Lawn said: "This is amazing news to reach such numbers.

"When I'd heard that we had beaten the previous total of 12,200, I thought we might sneak 12,500 in the end. So when I then heard we were getting even further on than that, I thought we better do something quick to honour it!

"It really seems the Bradford public are buying into this team and squad that Phil (Parkinson) has created. The players and staff gave the whole city a real boost last season with their tremendous achievements and the people of Bradford have responded by showing their support in their numbers.

"They have bought their Season Tickets once again and that is all we can ask of them really.

"The supporters have backed us again and they have shown that they believe we can have another good season ahead of this year.

"Phil has put a good team together and I think we are all quietly confident that they can give the fans something to cheer about this season."
