Southend snow helpers still needed

27 March 2013

Bradford City Football Club would like to ask once again for volunteers to help with clearing snow from parts of the Coral Windows Stadium ahead of Good Friday's home match with Southend United.

Around a dozen supporters kindly gave up their free time to help today (Wednesday) but further work is needed to get the stadium ready for Friday's match.

If you are able to give up a few hours tomorrow (Thursday), it will be a great help to make sure that Friday’s game against Southend can go ahead.

Most of the work involves clearing snow from the stands so that seating areas and gangways are safe for the game.

Anyone who is able to help is asked to come down to stadium after 9.30am on Thursday armed, if possible, with a snow shovel (or just a plain old gardening shovel will do).

Make sure you are wrapped up with plenty of layers of clothing as some of the work will be on the stand concourses which remain very cold.

Anyone who can volunteer for this work should make their way to main Club reception at the 1911 Club at 9.30am or as soon as possible after that time.

Volunteers can work all-day or for just a few hours - any help will be gratefully appreciated indeed.
