Minute's silence this Saturday

8 November 2013

Ahead of Remembrance Sunday this weekend, Rotherham United have confirmed to City that there will be a minute's silence before Saturday's F.A Cup with Budweiser First Round tie at New York Stadium.

The minute of silence just before kick off will give those present within the stadium the chance to commemorate those affected by the two World Wars and later conflicts.

City staff will also be wearing poppies at the game as a sign of respect.

After playing their first game with the new Football League yellow 'winter' footballs at Crewe Alexandra last Saturday, City's tie with the Millers will see both sides use Nike's Incyte Ball.

The mango coloured ball will be used in all F.A Cup ties for this 2013/2014 season.

As with all F.A Cup matches, City's tie with Rotherham will go to a reply should the scores be level after full time this Saturday. There will be no penalties or extra time.

If needed, the replay will be played at the Coral Windows Stadium on Tuesday 19 November 2013.

In a repeat of last weekend's kit selection at Crewe, City will once again be wearing their light blue away shirts with black shorts and black socks for Saturday's tie at Rotherham's New York Stadium.
