Sky Bet League 1
Bradford City vs Tranmere Rovers
Kick Off: 3.00pm
at the Coral Windows Stadium
Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has listed new signing Matthew Bates as one of his substitutes for this Sunday afternoon's clash with Tranmere Rovers.
The defender, who was only confirmed as a Bantams player by the club today, will be joined on the bench by Carl McHugh after the Irishman was given permission to fly back from Romania, interrupting a spell with the Republic of Ireland Under 21s in the process, to be involved in the Tranmere fixture.
With Bates and McHugh on the bench, Luke Oliver and Nathan Doyle will be partnered together in central defence, paving the way for Jason Kennedy to make his first league start of the season in central midfield.
In attack, as expected, Nahki Wells isn't quite fit enough to make his return from an ankle injury, meaning Mark Yeates is likely to once again be asked to support James Hanson up front.
