Let's take this home

2 April 2014

After two pleasing performances on the road for City in recent days, Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has a simple message to his players - let's bring this form home with us.

Parkinson's men followed up their tremendous win at Leyton Orient last weekend with a drawn fixture at Coventry City on Tuesday evening - a match they probably could have won given the chances they created.

The Orient victory and Coventry draw also saw the Bantams collect back-to-back clean sheets as well.

City's two most recent results came after a hugely disappointing performance against Walsall just over a week ago in the club's previous home fixture.

With the Bantams now due back at the Coral Windows Stadium this Saturday to face Oldham Athletic, Parkinson wants another encouraging performance for the fans to enjoy.

Parkinson said: "Everyone was low after the Walsall but we've bounced back in resilient fashion. Now it is important that we go back home against Oldham on Saturday and put on a really good performance for our supporters.

"I've already spoken to the lads about this very thing. We will need to have a determination about us on Saturday.

"My job and the staff's job between now and then is to get the lads' training schedules right to give the team the ability to really come out the traps and put in a good display.

"We know how Oldham will play when they come to Valley Parade, and we know they will look to make it difficult for us. We have to find a way to make sure we threaten the opposition goal and really play like the home team."
