Parkinson's praise for departing Reach

21 April 2014

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has heaped praise on the departing Adam Reach after the winger played the final game of his loan period with City this Easter Monday before returning to parent club Middlesbrough.

Reach's loan deal with the Bantams expired at midnight on Monday, leaving the 21 year-old to return back to the Championship side after the Swindon Town game following eighteen appearances for City during his three months at the club.

The young attacker, who instantly became a favourite with the fans after making his debut at home to Preston North End in late January, also scored three goals for Parkinson's men.

Speaking about Reach's time at Valley Parade, Parkinson said: "He's done great for us - he has been a very good signing.

"If you go back to the period when Kyel Reid got injured, we desperately needed some pace in the team. Adam has offered us that and much more. He has scored goals for us and created opportunities for others.

"I like him as a lad as well. He works hard for the side and he has a lot of attributes.

"He has also shown that he has the capability to be flexible and play in a number of positions.

"He played down the middle on Friday (vs Peterborough United) and we've played him on the right today (Monday). He is a player who can fill several positions."
