YOUTH TEAM RECEIVE LEAGUE TITLE

27 April 2014

Just over a month after their title win was secured, City's triumphant youth team got their hands on the Youth Alliance North East Division championship trophy during the half time interval of this Saturday's Sky Bet League 1 fixture with Crawley Town.

Youth team captain Jack Stockdill received the league trophy from City legend David Wetherall, who is now Head of Youth Development at the Football League.

Jack, along with the rest of his team-mates, also received individual championship winner's medals from Wetherall and City Chief Executive David Baldwin during the half time presentation ceremony.

Once they had collected their medals and the all-important trophy, City's apprentices went around the Coral Windows Stadium pitch to take the acclaim of the home crowd.

After leading from the front from the very start of the season, the Bantams' youth team deserved wrapped up the league title with three games to spare back in late March.

City, of course, are going for a league and cup double this Tuesday (29 April 2014) when they play Colchester United in the Youth Alliance Cup Final at Valley Parade.

Kick off is 7:00pm and entry is FREE, so please come down and show your support to City's youngsters!
