9 August 2014

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has handed out five full debuts in his first starting line up of the new 2014/2015 season.

Jordan Pickford, Alan Sheehan, Gary Liddle, Billy Knott and Billy Clarke will all make their official maiden outings for the Bantams this afternoon after moving to the Coral Windows Stadium over the summer.

With those five included, Parkinson has kept largely with the same eleven that started last Saturday's friendly with Hartlepool United.

The only alteration sees Jason Kennedy come into the side at the expense of Matthew Dolan in a City midfield that expected to shape up in the same diamond formation used throughout pre-season.

Dolan is named among City's substitutes, with recent new recruits Matt Urwin, Mo Shariff and Filipe Morais also included on the bench.

Despite missing all of City's pre-season friendlies due to a calf problem, Aaron Mclean features on the bench as well after returning to full training this week.

Ben Williams and Christopher Routis will not be involved this afternoon, however, after the club failed to receive international clearance for the pair in time for the game.
