Sky Bet League 1
Bradford City 1 (McArdle 32)
Scunthorpe United 1 (Adelakun 90+3)
Kick Off: 3.00pm
at the Coral Windows Stadium

Attendance: 12,831 (485 visitors)

The Bantams were denied a hard-fought victory by an injury time equaliser from Scunthorpe United substitute Hakeeb Adelakun.

Leading through a composed finish from Rory McArdle roughly midway into the first half, City were hanging on for the victory as the game ticked into overtime but they were forced to settle for a share of the spoils when Adelakun drilled home into the far bottom corner with just seconds left.

As frustrating as the injury time leveller was for Bantams boss Phil Parkinson and his players though, a point was probably the least Scunthorpe had deserved from the game after a forceful second period performance against the Bantams.

FT: Bradford City 1 Scunthorpe United 1

48min: Luke Williams plays his corner delivery out to the lurking McSheffrey but the attacker's drive from outside the box is flashed over the bar as a couple of City players come out to close him down.
46min: Brindley whips in a teasing cross that Pickford has to shovel behind to prevent it from sneaking in at his near post. Pickford has to tip the ball over the bar from the resulting corner, with Morais requiring a spot of treatment on a shoulder injury picked up while City looked to defend the corner.

Clarke's low cross into the area finds Morais, who sees his rising drive blocked by a Scunthorpe player. As the home fans shout for a penalty for a potential handball, Stead lays the ball back to McArdle and the centre half fires the ball into the top corner of the goal with a composed side-footed strike with his left foot from just inside the box.
30min: Clarke plays the ball out to Meredith over by the far left hand side of Scunthorpe's penalty area. The Australian goes to drill the ball goalwards but the effort goes wide of Slocombe's near post.
28min: Mark Yeates feeds the ball into the path of Stead and the striker turns away from a couple of Scunthorpe defenders before firing in a low drive from just inside the area that is held to his left by Slocombe.
25min: Madden tries to play McSheffrey in with run on goal with a weighting pass. The ball reaches McSheffrey just inside the box but Meredith uses his strength to keep the Scunthorpe attacker at bay and City can clear.
20min: Jon Stead leaps up to meet Filipe Morais' teasing cross. Stead heads narrowly wide of Slocombe's far post but the effort, even if it had of gone in, wouldn't have counted as the striker was penalised for a push on Boyce.
19min: GOAL....NO! Andrew Boyce rises highest to home head Gary McSheffrey's delivery from the resulting corner but the goal is ruled out for climbing by Miguel Llera on Andrew Davies.
