WE'LL BE READY FOR SUNDAY

27 December 2014

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson is confident City will be ready to go again this Sunday despite the quick turnaround between the visit of Notts County and their Boxing Day trip to Fleetwood Town.

Barely 48 hours after their impressive win at Fleetwood, Parkinson's men welcome Notts County, including two City old boys Garry Thompson and Gary Jones, to the Coral Windows Stadium for their final game of 2014.

With a full fixture list on Boxing Day and this Sunday, it is a testing and intense period for all Football League clubs but Parkinson says it is nothing his side can't prepare for.

Parkinson said: "We knew this game was coming so we have planned accordingly.

"The lads will eat right and rest up right and we'll be in training again on Saturday.

"The players and staff know what this time of year is all about and what sacrifices have to be made.

"It is all worthwhile when you pick up the right result, however, and we want to continue to do that on Sunday.

"Both teams will be a bit leggy probably towards the end of the game but that is when we need our fans to get right behind the lads and cheer them on."
