Confidence remains high

17 February 2014

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson says there is no shortage of confidence within the squad as City prepare for the first game of their forthcoming home triple-header.

Parkinson's men welcome Port Vale to the Coral Windows Stadium this Tuesday evening before playing host to Milton Keynes Dons and Stevenage in consecutive Saturdays thereafter.

After drawing eight of their last thirteen games, City head into the Port Vale game looking for their first league win since the end of November.

Despite the club's recent winless run though, Parkinson reckons there is still no lack of belief among his players.

Parkinson said: "The lads have looked good in training today (Monday) and they look sharp.

"Despite our recent run, confidence really is as high as you would expect it could possibly be. Going away at the weekend for our Coventry game, it gave me the chance to speak with some of the senior players.

"We all know clearly what we have to do and we are ready for it on Tuesday.

"Tuesday is the start of a run of three consecutive home games for us but we just have to take one match at a time. It would be great if we could get a good result on Tuesday to set us up for the next one (vs Milton Keynes Dons)."
