No real concerns over Mclean knock

23 February 2014

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson doesn't believe Aaron Mclean's injury concern is anything major, despite the striker going off during this Saturday's victory over Milton Keynes Dons at the Coral Windows Stadium.

Mclean was substituted after 65 minutes following a knock picked up by the forward in the second period, a move that handed loanee Chris Atkinson his home debut for City and saw the Bantams change to a 4-3-3 formation.

Along with Mclean, Jon McLaughlin also took a blow after the restart as well. Parkinson is confident, however, that the slight problems are nothing more than bumps and bruising though.

Parkinson said: "We're not sure how they are now at the moment. We'll have to see.

"Aaron had a tight hamstring after Tuesday but never for one minute did I think he wouldn't make today (Saturday). I never thought he wouldn't put himself out there today.

"I don't think it is too serious which is good because he's put a lot of effort into today."
