Bantams boss Phil Parkinson is hopeful that any moves out of the Coral Windows Stadium for members of his squad can be completed as swiftly as possible so that he knows what he has to work with for the rest of January and beyond.

Following the opening of the January transfer window last week, a selection of City players have been linked with a move away from Valley Parade, none more so than leading scorer Nahki Wells.

After netting 15 goals in 21 appearances for Parkinson's men so far this season, Wells has been reportedly tracked by a number of Premiership and Championship clubs.

Whatever happens to Wells and other players within City's squad though, Parkinson is hopeful that any decisions on their futures can be made sooner rather than later.

Parkinson said: "Obviously the (January) transfer window is now open and this has led to speculation about some of our players, Nahki in particular.

"From my point of view, the club's point of view and Nahki's point of view, his situation needs to be resolved one way or another as soon as possible so that we can move on and work on improving our own squad.

"Like all managers, I want to keep our best players at the football club, but if Nahki goes, it will be because a decision has been made that is in the best interests of the club.

"Equally though, if he stays, it will be a big boost for everyone."

The football club can confirm that, as of this Wednesday (8 January 2014) afternoon, no acceptable bids have been received for the services of Nahki Wells and he remains a Bradford City player.
