City bring in Bennett

24 January 2014

A day after bringing in left winger Adam Reach from Middlesbrough, City have dipped into the loan market once again to secure the services of attacker Kyle Bennett from Doncaster Rovers until the end of the season.

Bennett, 23, completed his move to the Coral Windows Stadium this Friday after training with his new Bradford team-mates at Apperley Bridge for the first time.

The deal is subject to City receiving the necessary clearances from The F.A and Football league.

The former England Under 18 international is seen primarily as a right winger, although he has the ability to play in other attacking positions further up the pitch.

Described as a forward-thinking player 'known for blistering pace and close ball control', Bennett, who will wear squad number 32, is no stranger to causing defenders hassle with his probing style of play.

Before his move to Bradford, Bennett enjoyed a loan spell in Sky Bet League 1 earlier this season with Crawley Town.

Born in Telford, Bennett started his professional career at Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2008 before moving to Bury two years later.

After only one season at Gigg Lane, Bennett's performances earned him a move to Doncaster.

Bennett has played 81 times for Doncaster so far and helped Rovers secure the League 1 title last season.
