City defender James Meredith is set for a sizeable spell on the sidelines after it was confirmed that the Australian has broken a bone in his right foot.
The left back, who has featured in every league game for City so far this season, picked up in the injury in training this Tuesday. An x-ray later in the day confirmed the full extent of the problem.
With the club still seeking the best possible course of action to treat the injury, it is not known completely as of yet exactly how long the defender will be ruled out for.
