New Bantams winger Adam Reach hopes his own positive brand of football can make him a success during his loan period at the Coral Windows Stadium.

Reach joined up with City from Championship side Middlesbrough this Thursday after penning a one-month loan deal.

The left winger moves to Bradford looking to give them some natural width down the left flank following the recent season-ending injury to Kyel Reid.

Reach, who will squad number 28 during his loan spell, feels his own game is best suited to attacking play down the flanks, and he says he has been given license by Bantams boss Phil Parkinson to do just that.

Reach said: "I've spoken to the gaffer and he has told me a bit about the club and what he is trying to achieve here.

"He's said to me that he is looking for a little bit extra legs and energy in midfield, so hopefully I can bring that.

"He's looking for me to keep it simple really - just run and cross basically!

"The manager wants me to get to the byline, take on the defenders and get loads of balls in the box.

"That is all I want to do really as well. I like to get the ball down the line and shoot and cross and hopefully set goals up.

"Either side, left or right, I'll try to get the ball and be as positive as I can."

Reach arrives at City no stranger to what is required at League 1 level.

Before his move to Bradford, the winger spent the first part of the season on loan at fellow Sky Bet League 1 side Shrewsbury Town.

As part of his loan spell at Greenhous Meadow, Reach actually played against City for Shrewsbury at the Coral Windows Stadium back in late September.

Reach added: "I played nearly twenty-four games for Shrewsbury and I've played against every team in this league, so I do know what it is all about.

"I know what different teams can bring. Some teams like to get the ball down, against other teams you have to work very hard and try to grind out the results. Either way, I'm ready for the challenge.

"It was quite a daunting experience playing as an away player in front of the big crowd at Bradford. Thankfully though, I'll have that crowd in my favour this time around.

"It is going to be nice to have 14,000/15,000 behind me and supporting me."

Reach's first taste of life as a Bradford player at Valley Parade should come next Tuesday when Parkinson's men entertain Preston North End.

He added: "It would be nice to get a positive result in the game. It is always nice to start at home and have the fans behind you.

"If I start or get onto the pitch as a sub, hopefully I can play my part and impress the fans."
