Relive the Villa Park glory!

22 January 2014

Tuesday 22 January 2013 - a date that will go down in history as one of the greatest nights ever for Bradford City Football Club and its loyal supporters.

Defying all the odds, Phil Parkinson's brilliant Bantams amazingly secured their spot in the Capital One Cup Final after holding off Premiership Aston Villa in the second leg of their semi-final at Villa Park.

A first half strike from Villa's Christian Benteke threatened to make it a long night for City but James Hanson's brilliant header after the restart saw Parkinson's side wrestle back the initiative.

A late goal from Andreas Weimann set up a nervy finish for City and their 6,500 followers but the Bantams hung on to win their semi 4-3 on aggregate.

The mind-blowing semi-final victory put City into their first-ever League Cup final and ensured Bradford became the first fourth-tier side to make the final of the competition since Rochdale in 1962.

The incredible feat - something that isn't likely to be matched for many decades to come - rightful saw Parkinson's class of 2012/2013 dubbed as 'history-makers'.

Exactly one year on this Wednesday from that stunning night at Villa Park, City fans can now relive some of the magical moments from a quite superb tie.
