Bucket collection for BCFC women's team

13 March 2014

Bucket collection ahead of this Saturday's home fixture with Gillingham - a message from Bradford City Women's FC.

Bradford City Women's FCis nearing the end of their 25th Anniversary, having been founded in 1988 from a Community Football initiative.

Like most clubs, we have periods of strength, having played in the FA Women's Premier League and a number of other honours, including having several international players in our squad.

Currently our first team are again competing in the FA Women's Premier League and we also have two other senior sides.

We have also had times that have been much harder with relegations and dwindling numbers of players.

This season also saw the re-launch of our junior section with three junior teams competing in the West Riding Girls League.

We aim to provide female football for all ages and abilities, as well as providing the right environment for developing players to reach their potential, at whatever level that might be.

Next season we aim to also have a fourth senior and junior team.

We have good links with Bradford City FC and we are grateful that they have agreed to let us hold a bucket collection at the Gillingham game.

Please give generously and support us to help to continue providing the highest quality coaching and training facilities for girls and women to play football in the Bradford Community.
