Following the Bantams' tepid showing against the Saddlers at the Coral Windows Stadium in midweek, Phil Parkinson's side travel to promotion-chasing Leyton Orient looking to restore some pride in the ranks.
The Walsall defeat left City looking firmly over their shoulders at the gap between themselves and the League 1 relegation zone.
With the focus going into Saturday's match at Leyton Orient most definitely on producing a far better performance than Tuesday night, Parkin says City have what it takes to get themselves away from danger - but they must start showing those qualities now.
Parkin said: "They (Leyton Orient) have had a terrific season and they will view this game as a big one, as do we, and we have to go there and be nice and positive.
"We want to put in a performance like we did at Colchester and not the sort of display we did on Tuesday.
"We need to be a lot better than we were on Tuesday night. We all know that.
"We want to go to Orient and pick up something that we can then take into the two games next week against Coventry City and Oldham Athletic.
"I have no doubt that we have the character and professionalism within the squad to get us through this - the lads were all hurting after Tuesday's game.
"We have to show a lot of fight and come through this. We need to show a lot of spirit between now and the end of the season.
"It is an eight-game season for us now and we have to make sure we pick up enough points to stay in this division.
"We have eight cup finals now - an eight-game mini league to play in - and we have to make sure we come out on top."
