McArdle came on as a second half substitute for the final ten minutes or so of the match as Northern Ireland drew 0-0 with Cyprus in the GSP Stadium in Nicosia.
Northern Ireland finished the game with ten men after West Bromwich Albion's Gareth McAuley was dismissed after 76 minutes.
Following his latest appearance for Northern Ireland, McArdle is now due back in England on Thursday afternoon, meaning he should be fine to travel with the rest of his City team-mates for this weekend's Sky Bet League 1 match at Brentford.
