City suffered the agony of conceding with one of the last kicks of the match as they fell to a disappointing late defeat at the hands of Shrewsbury Town.

The Bantams actually took the lead with only eleven minutes of normal time remaining when Andrew Davies swooped to turn home Matthew Dolan's cross from close range. They couldn't hang on for long, however, as Jon Taylor converted Jermaine Grandison's pull back around a minute later to draw the hosts level.

With the game almost up and a draw looking on the cards, Shrewsbury substitute Shaun Miller pounced when a Paul Parry cross fell into his path to fire past a helpless Jon McLaughlin from close range.
