PRESTON GAME GOING AHEAD AS PLANNED

3 November 2014

Preston North End have informed City that they will NOT be applying to have this month's Sky Bet League 1 fixture between the two sides rescheduled due to international call-ups.

Under Football League rules, sides can apply to postpone games that take place over the course of an international weekend if three or more of their squad players are called up for one of their national sides.

Of the two previous international weekends that have taken place this season, both of Preston's first team fixtures (away to Swindon Town and away to Leyton Orient) have been postponed and then re-arranged.

Despite this month's match-day between City and Preston - Saturday 15 November 2014 - also falling on an international weekend though, the Lilywhites have confirmed that they won't be applying for a postponement.

Four of Preston's players - Scott Wiseman, Callum Robinson, Alan Browne and Will Hayhurst - have been selected for their respective nations and age groups but the Lancashire have decided to go ahead with the game regardless.

The match could now see City come up against former Kyel Reid for the first time following the winger's move to Deepdale in the summer.

Tickets are on sale now from the Bantams Ticket Office for this fixture. Further details can be found by clicking HERE.
