Phil Parkinson's brilliant Bantams ended Preston North End's impressive home league record with a deserved, and dramatic, victory at Deepdale.

Going into the game, Preston hadn't lost in twenty league matches at home - a run that stretched into December last year - but goals from Rory McArdle and Mark Yeates fired City to a memorable away win.

McArdle's first half header direct from an Andy Halliday corner had given Parkinson's men the interval advantage but Preston top scorer Joe Garner looked to have snatch the hosts a share of the spoils when he converted a Callum Robinson cross in the 85th minute.

Only ten seconds after the restart from Garner's goal, however, City bounced back in style from the blow of being pegged back when Filipe Morais' cross found Yeates and the Irishman curled a delightful effort into the far corner from just outside the box.

85min: GOAL - Preston North End 1 Bradford City 1 - Garner has Preston level with time running out. Robinson's low cross into the box has City on the back-foot and Garner pounces to fire home from close range.
83min: Robinson's fizzing ball across the six yard box looks set to be tapped in by Garner by the far post but Darby does brilliantly to get himself between the ball and the striker to turn it over for a corner.
81min: Tom Clarke's long ball forward is headed on by Garner into the path of Kevin Davies but the striker's flick for goal is held by Pickford.
80min: Yeates' delivery from the following corner is flicked on by Hanson and then Andrew Davies into the path of McArdle but the defender, who is positioned roughly in the middle of Preston's penalty area, doesn't connect properly with his attempted left-footed volley and the chance is gone.
80min: Stead is denied by Jones at close range from a relatively tight angle deep inside the box after the striker had latched onto Hanson's headed flick on from a Pickford kick forward.

77min: Laird's in-swinging cross finds Garner but the striker's powerful header from deep inside the area is wayward.

51min: Darby clears off the line! Callum Robinson's cross into the area finds Garner lurking but the striker's goal-bound header is blocked on the line by the body of Darby. The ball is still free but Humphrey's drive for goal on the rebound is pushed behind by Pickford.
50min: Humphrey's teasing ball into the six yard box whistles across Pickford's goal. Robinson rescues the situation over the far byline but his cut-back towards Kilkenny is blocked out by McArdle.

44min: Clarke just beats Paul Huntington to Stead's headed flick on from a Pickford kick but the striker's flick for goal lacks the power required to trouble Jones, who gathers with relative ease.
43min: Alan Browne feeds the ball into Gallagher, who strikes for goal first time from the edge of the area but the quick snap-shot fails to catch out Pickford, who gathers up the ball comfortably.
38min: Oh so close for City! Halliday's corner delivery to the far post is met by Andrew Davies, who sends a looping header goalwards. The ball looks for a second like it could be dropping in over the line but Tom Clarke on Preston's goal-line just about does enough to stop the effort from going in.
35min: James Meredith's long throw-in into the box is flicked on by Stead but the ball just bounces out of the reach of Clarke and Morais around the edge of Preston's six yard box before the hosts can clear their lines.
29min: Gallagher's low free-kick shot for goal from just outside the area deflects wide of Pickford's near post for a corner. City have a job on clearing their lines from the resulting corner after the initial delivery from Gallagher eventually finds Humphrey over by the far side. The pacey winger's teasing cross back into the area has to be headed away from deep within the six yard box before Neil Kilkenny's strike inside the area is blocked away. Preston are still pushing until Gallagher's drive, again from inside the area, bounces wide of Pickford's near post.

18min: David Buchanan's hanging cross is met by Garner but the striker's header is on the stretch and the effort loops up comfortably over Jordan Pickford's crossbar.
16min: After collecting the ball from Andy Halliday, Clarke moves into space on his left foot but his low angled drive from just outside the box goes wide of Jones' far post.
13min: Joe Garner wriggles his way into shooting space inside City's area but his goal-bound strike is blocked by the outstretched leg of Rory McArdle.
12min: Yeates whips in a fizzing free-kick delivery from wide but the testing effort is held by Jones at his near post.
7min: It seems Mark Yeates has required a spot of treatment pitch-side, perhaps for his long-standing shoulder injury. Either way, the winger is back on the pitch 30 seconds or so later to bring City back up to their full allocation.
5min: Billy Clarke's ball over the top sees Jon Stead in behind Preston's defence with only Jack King for company. Stead takes on the shot first time from just outside the area but his strike on the half-volley sails over Jamie Jones' bar.
