Two goals in as many second half minutes proved enough to see the Bantams deservedly defeat bottom side Crewe Alexandra at the Coral Windows Stadium.

Aaron Mclean slid in to convert Mark Yeates' cross eighteen minutes from the end to break the deadlock before Gary Liddle drove home a fine effort from the edge of the area shortly afterwards for his first of the season.

Before City's second half strikes, Phil Parkinson's men had collected twelve corners and seen two efforts cleared off the line as they completely dominated the opening half.

72min: GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!! Bradford City 1 Crewe Alexandra 0 - Mclean has City in the lead of the match! Yeates' teasing in-swinging cross into the box looks like it could be heading into the arms of Garratt but Mclean slides in front of him to fire the ball into the net.
68min: Brandy leads a dangerous Crewe counter-attack as the visitors clear a City corner. The ball eventually makes its way out to George Cooper but the young winger's angled drive from just inside the box is pushed away by Pickford.
63min: YELLOW CARD - Liddle is booked for a late tackle on Brandy just inside City's half of the pitch.
59min: SUB - The Bantams bring on Billy Knott for Kennedy.
51min: Haber's through ball plays Atkinson in behind Sheehan and with a chance to run clear into the box. Atkinson fires for goal from an angle but Pickford repels the strike by his near post before the ball hits off Sheehan and out for a corner.
49min: A superb ball into the box by Yeates looking begging to be headed home by the far post but the delivery is just beyond Mclean and Filipe Morais.

44min: Kennedy tries his luck from outside the box but the midfielder's low drive is held by Garratt.
40min: Yeates' clever little forward pass breaks through Crewe's defensive line to give Kennedy a sight of goal inside the box but Garratt is out quickly to smother the effort.
37min: Sheehan's cross into the area is met by Clarke but the striker's header about ten yards out is glanced comfortably wide of Garratt's goal.
35min: YELLOW CARD - Davies is booked for clattering into Chris Atkinson as Crewe build an attack around 30 yards from City's goal.
29min: Another golden chance to score is somehow squandered by the Bantams! Yeates' corner delivery is headed down into the mix by Sheehan for the waiting Clarke. The striker sends a neat back-flick for goal but sees his effort fished off the line by Greg Leigh before McArdle pokes over the bar from close range with the rebound.
22min: Sheehan is teed up for a shot from outside the box by Clarke and the Irishman's first time effort flies over the bar via a faint deflection off a Crewe player.
21min: After playing a one-two with Clarke, Yeates curls a low effort for goal from the edge of the area. Garratt repels the drive but the ball is still free and Adam Dudgale has to put it behind for a corner.
20min: From the resulting corner, Mclean is denied an almost certain goal! The striker takes down Sheehan's corner delivery into the box before smashing for goal from barely yards out. Anthony Grant, who is positioned on the line, somehow manages to divert the ball over the bar though.
19min: Alan Sheehan's delivery into the area from a wide free-kick is headed just over the bar by Billy Clarke by the near post. The referee has spotted a touch off a Crewe player, however, so it will be a City corner.
15min: Marcus Haber's flick on from Garratt's goal-kick forward is picked up by the lurking Tootle. The Crewe wing-back moves towards City's penalty area before firing in a rising drive from around 25 yards out the whistles wide of Jordan Pickford's goal.
7min: Yeates' in-swinging cross into the area appears to bounce up off Crewe defensive duo George Ray and Alan Tate, with the Bantams bench and sections off the City crowd shouting for handball. Referee Darren Deadman waves away City's protests, however, and allows play to carry on. Seconds later, another Yeates cross is met by the head of Andrew Davies but the effort sails up into the air and Garratt is able to pluck it out of the sky just above his own crossbar.
5min: Mark Yeates breezes past Matt Tootle over on City's left flank before clipping in a teasing cross from the byline. Jason Kennedy rises up to meet the header but the effort bounces high over Ben Garratt's bar.
3min: Mclean is back up and running now as play continues once again.
2min: Aaron Mclean is down and receiving treatment after taking a whack on his foot.
