Bantams boss Phil Parkinson says City have been counting down the days until they can attempt to bounce back from the disappointment of the home defeat at the hands of Yeovil Town last time out.

City entertain Swindon Town at the Coral Windows Stadium this Saturday seven days after suffering a rare off day - arguably the only one of the season so far - on their way to a 3-1 loss to Gary Johnson's Glovers.

The lack of a midweek fixture this week - the first time this campaign - denied City the opportunity of a quick response after the Yeovil defeat.

On the positive side though, as well as allowing Parkinson's squad the chance to recoup physically after a hectic start to the new season, it gave the squad a chance to review the Yeovil game again.

Parkinson and his players watched the match back on DVD this Tuesday, along with clips from other games this season, to see where things went wrong against Yeovil and to assess how City can back to the form they have shown in the majority of their early season games so far.

Parkinson said: "It has been a long week waiting for this (Swindon) game.

"We've had good results this season and then had a Tuesday night or a Saturday game straight after

"The first real bad one we play and we've had all week to dwell on it.

"We've been waiting for 3:00pm on Saturday to come along.

"We certainly don't want to brush the (Yeovil) defeat under the carpet and just think that everything will be ok.

"On the other hand though, we don't want to over-react and get too down on ourselves because we have still had a great start to the season.

"This Tuesday gave us the opportunity to sit down with the lads and look back at the DVD of the (Yeovil) game and compare it to when we have played well this season.

"After going two goals down last Saturday, we didn't respond in the manner I expected us to.

"We became a bit frantic in our play and we went away from the general idea of how we have wanted the lads to play our football this season.

"In all honesty, we never really look liked scoring in the second half.

"They are all an honest group of lads here, so we sat them down this week and had a look at everything and had a general review of the season so far.

"Having looked back at the game, it was made clear to the group what we didn't do right - we kept giving the ball away cheaply.

"There was a lot of talk after the game about us being a tired team but when you give the ball away as cheaply as we did and you are constantly chasing the ball, it does become a very difficult game whether you've had two weeks off or two days off.

"We are encouraged by the start the lads have made to the season but we never like getting beat.

"We certainly don't like not playing well and not doing ourselves justice."
