With a large crowd expected for Tuesday night’s Sky Bet League 1 game versus Bristol City at the Coral Windows Stadium, the Club today (Monday) announced that road closures will be in place for the fixture.
With the game kicking-off at 7.45pm, the road closures will be in place from 6:00pm until 10.30pm.
Midland Road will be closed from its junction with Thorncliffe Road right through to its junction with Cornwall Road. The lower section of Holywell Ash Lane will also be closed from its junction with Lupton Street. Access to the disabled parking spaces in front of Rear Rock Terrace will still be allowed from the Thorncliffe Road closure point.
Any spectator wishing to park on the car park off Midland Road (an area not operated by Bradford City FC) is asked to access that area from the direction of Hamm Strasse.
The Club would also like to take this opportunity to remind people travelling to the stadium by car to make sure that their car is left secure and that no valuables are on view.
West Yorkshire Police have done a lot of work this season to reduce car crime in the area during first team matches, but thieves will be aware of the expected high attendance and may target the area. So, supporters are asked to help themselves and back-up the work of the Police by securing their car and removing or hiding any valuables.
The Club would also make an appeal for supporters to arrive at the stadium as early as possible.
A large contingent of supporters from Bristol City is expected and this will restrict the number of turnstiles available to Home supporters for the Northern Commercials Stand on Midland Road.
The Club appreciates that many people will be returning to work this week after the Easter break, but if it is possible for spectators to get to the stadium as early as possible, this will help with the flow of people into the stadium. Some turnstiles will be open in every section of the stadium from 6.30pm and if everyone could aim to be in the seats by 7.30pm; it will avoid last-minute congestion at the turnstiles and make sure everyone is in place for kick-off.
