Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has handed instant debuts to new loan signings Lee Evans and Reece Burke for City's Sky Bet League 1 fixture at Barnsley.
Burke is expected to partner Rory McArdle in central defence, with Evans scheduled to feature in midfield alongside Gary Liddle.
Evans and Burke's inclusion in Parkinson's starting XI at Oakwell comes as part of six changes made in total by the City chief from the side that started Tuesday's loss to Gillingham.
James Meredith comes back into the side at left back, Paul Anderson and Mark Marshall will start on the right and left wings respectively, while Steven Davies joins James Hanson in attack.
Australian goalkeeper Brad Jones remains on the bench for this Saturday's Yorkshire derby as he works on his building up his fitness levels.
Tony McMahon misses out altogether after going down with an illness overnight.
