CITY WIN ANOTHER PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK AWARD

20 February 2015

Phil Parkinson's Bantams have secured another LG Performance of the Week award following their tremendous triumph over Sunderland in the F.A Cup last Sunday.

The award, which is run by the League Manager's Association, goes to Parkinson's men after they secured their spot in the quarter finals with an impressive win over the Black Cats in front of a packed Coral Windows Stadium.

This award is the second of its kind to come City's way in less than a month after they were given the same honour following their stunning win at Chelsea in the fourth round towards the end of January.

If you include Parkinson's Manager of the Month and Rory McArdle's Player of the Month gongs for December, this latest award is actually City's fourth notable accolade in less than two months.

Winners of the weekly award are chosen by a panel comprising of the experienced and highly distinguished quintet of LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry.

As he did for the Chelsea award, City boss Parkinson will receive a specially commissioned trophy on behalf of the team made by world renowned silversmiths and LMA partner, Thomas Lyte of London, in a presentation to commemorate the award.

Bantams fans will be able to see the presentation to Parkinson on this Saturday's edition of the Sky Sports programme, Gillette Soccer Saturday.
