PARKINSON'S PRAISE FOR MORAIS

1 February 2015

After seeing his side draw at home to Colchester United, Bantams boss Phil Parkinson reserved special praise for City winger Filipe Morais following the Portuguese attacker's point-earning equaliser.

Morais crashed home his fifth goal of the season via a fine volley thirteen minutes from time after Colchester striker Chris Porter had given the visitors the lead as early as the fifth minute.

The goal for Morais was his second in successive games after his leveller in the F.A Cup against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

Parkinson said: "Fil has been outstanding for us.

"He is tactically aware and probably the best wide player we've had on that right-hand side since I've been here.

"He understands the game and is prepared to work for the team.

"I thought he was excellent today (Saturday) in very difficult conditions for a wide player.

"It was a great finish from him as well after a fantastic ball from Jon (Stead)."
