The Bantams earned themselves a third round replay with Millwall after playing out an entertaining F.A Cup tie with their Championship hosts.

City twice took the lead through Billy Knott goals - his fifth and sixth strikes of the season - but a second half double from experienced forward Ricardo Fuller helped to ensure that the tie ended level.

The two sides will now meet again at the Coral Windows Stadium a week on Wednesday.

Following a bright start from Phil Parkinson's men, City took the lead after only six minutes when Knott pounced to drill home after James Hanson had headed Alan Sheehan's corner delivery back down into the mix.

Millwall equalised with nine minutes of the first half remaining when Australian forward Scott McDonald swooped to divert Lee Martin's cross past Ben Williams with a glancing header.

The Lions were in the lead of the tie six minutes after the hour mark when McDonald turned provider to sent up an unmarked Fuller to fire past Williams from deep inside the box.

The Bantams sprung back into the tie with a real purpose, however, and they were level just four minutes later when Hanson's deflected drive looped up onto crossbar before rolling over the line off a helpless Millwall defender Sid Nelson.

City went one better shortly afterwards to retake the lead of the tie when Knott expertly steered the ball past David Forde with a fine finish on the volley from Filipe Morais' cross.

The goal moved Knott level with James Hanson at the top of City's scoring charts.

With time running out, City could have perhaps begun to dream about seeing the game out but Millwall hit back in the final stages when Fuller was picked out by Martin.

The Jamaican striker used the space afforded to him to steer the ball past Williams for the sixth goal of an increasingly exciting tie.

Both sides had half opportunities to snatch a winner but the tie remained level at 3-3, meaning City will get the chance to test themselves again against Championship opposition in eleven days time.
