ORIENT GAME MOVED TO THE WEDNESDAY

30 January 2015

Following yesterday's (Thursday) announcement that City were in discussions with Leyton Orient regarding the date of their forthcoming fixture, the club can now confirm that the Bantams' trip to Orient's Matchroom Stadium will take place on Wednesday 18 February 2015.

This is twenty-four hours later than previously scheduled (Tuesday 17 February 2015). The game will still kick off at 7:45pm.

The slight change of date has been made due to the fact that City's F.A Cup Fifth Round tie with either Sunderland or Fulham now looks set to be played on the Sunday (15 February 2015). Kick off is also likely to be 2:30pm.

With near neighbours Leeds United set to host Millwall on the Saturday (14 February 2015), West Yorkshire Police have advised City not to play their fifth round tie on either the same day (Saturday) or the Friday night.

A Sunday date for the Sunderland/Fulham tie would have left City with two days in three days should the Orient match have stayed on the Tuesday.

Given that City already have two matches in the space of only three days when they face Port Vale (Saturday 7 February 2015) and then Milton Keynes Dons (Monday 9 February 2015), the club applied to the Football League to have the Orient game moved back twenty-four hours.
