The Bantams opened up their pre-season programme of friendlies for the summer with a comfortable win over local neighbours Farsley Celtic.
First half headers from James Hanson and a close range tap-in from trialist Sanchez Watt gave City a 3-0 victory at Throstle Nest.
The first opening for the City came around ten minutes in when Ben Williams' clearance forward was flicked on by Watt towards Hanson, who saw his fierce half-volley from the edge of the box pushed behind by Thomas Taylor.
A storming run from Josh Morris then had the sizeable City contingent within Thostle Nest very interested as the midfielder surged past four Farsley players before crashing a rising drive from just inside the area against the crossbar.
Shortly afterwards, Harrison Gilkes' cross was headed down by Hanson but Filipe Morais saw his half-volley from around eight yards out deflect narrowly past the far post.
From the resulting corner, City did have the ball in the net when Morris' short corner to Morais saw the Portguese winger cross for Hanson to head home.
With City still very much on the front foot, good work from Sam Wright roughly five minutes later then teed up Watt.
The former Colchester attacker turned away from the attentions of James Riley but his effort for goal was blocked by the legs of the on-rushing Taylor.
Farsley's first attempt of the afternoon came from the boot of Lewis Nightingale but the midfielder, who also works as a youth coach with the Bantams, fired his drive from outside the area over the bar.
City were back on the attack quickly, however, and Hanson doubled his tally for the afternoon just before the half hour mark when he stooped to connect with Watt's near post cross and crash a close range header past a helpless Taylor.
It became three for Phil Parkinson's men nine minutes further into the friendly when Luke Hendrie's low cross into the middle wasn't dealt with by Taylor and Watt was on hand to smash in the loose ball from close range.
As City continued to dominate proceedings, Hanson was then denied a first half hat-trick by a smart save from Taylor to repel the striker's header. Hanson had been set up for the opportunity by John McCombe following after some fancy footwork and a searching cross by the giant defender.
Hanson had another opening for his treble just before the interval after being played through by Watt but the striker's low angled drive across goal narrowly beat Taylor's far post.
As expected, Parkinson changed City's entire eleven at half time, with the likes of last season's top scorer Billy Clarke and recent signing Luke James beginning the second half.
Two of the other half time alterations combined within the first minute after the restart as Christopher Routis connected with a Tony McMahon corner. The Frenchman's volley from inside the the area was a clean one but the effort was pushed out by Farsley replacement 'keeper Jake Lofthouse.
First year pros Joe Brennan and Dylan Mottley-Henry then saw efforts flash narrowly off target before Clarke blasted over the bar from around ten yards out after Brennan had teed the ball across the box to him.
City's next opening came via the boot of Routis after a forceful run into the area from James. The loanee striker laid the ball back to the waiting Frenchman but his rising drive from around twelve yards out sailed harmlessly over the bar.
McMahon was the next to try and add to City's score for the afternoon but his effort from outside the area flashed narrowly wide of Lofthouse's far post.
The right back tried again shortly afterwards following a one-two with James just outside the box but his rising drive this time went over the bar.
Farsley midfielder Rhys Jenkinson - a former Bantams apprentice - warmed the hands of Bantams sub goalkeeper Joe Cracknell shortly before the end with a drive from the edge of the box but the Bantams kept hold of their clean sheet.
