We are pleased to now be able to confirm one of our pre-season friendlies as part of the pre-season fixture schedule, as the Bantams will make the trip to play against newly promoted Vanarama National League side, Guiseley.

The fixture will take place on Tuesday 21st July at Nethermoor (7.45pm Kick Off).

Guiseley are of course managed by former Bantams central defender Mark Bower, and they had a hugely successful campaign in 2014-15 after being promoted from the Conference North via the promotion play-offs. After seeing off highly fancied AFC Fylde over two legs in the semi-final, they pulled off a fantastic comeback to beat Chorley away from home in the final. Adam Boyes, Liam Dickinson, and Nicky Boshell scored second half goals for the visitors, as they recovered from being 2-0 down at half time.

Prior to taking on City in pre-season, Guiseley will also have come up against Championship side Huddersfield Town, as well as League One outfit Barnsley.

Mark Bower's men will now go head to head with the likes of Tranmere Rovers and Cheltenham Town who were recently relegated from Sky Bet League Two, as well as losing Conference Premier play-off finalists Grimsby Town in the newly named Vanarama National League, last season known as the Vanarama Conference Premier.

The ticket prices for the fixture are as follows:

Adults: £10.00

Concessions: £5.00

Under 12s: Free with a paying adult

We will keep you up to date with any more news on the pre-season fixture schedule.
