Fleetwood Town 2 (Proctor 86, Pond 90+2)
Kick Off: 3.00pm
at the Coral Windows Stadium

Attendance: 12,963 (176 visitors)

The Bantams let probable victory slip through their grasp at home to Fleetwood Town this Saturday as the visitors registered two late goals to snatch a barely-deserved point from their trip to the Coral Windows Stadium.

Leading through goals from Jon Stead and Christopher Routis, Phil Parkinson's men looked on course for a comfortable victory as time ticked down but Fleetwood received a life-line in the 86th minute when Jamie Proctor headed home Tyler Forbes' cross.

With their tails up at this stage, Fleetwood remarkably went one stage better in the second minute of injury time when Nathan Pond slammed home past Ben Williams from inside the box to leave City stunned.

Before the late Fleetwood drama, Stead had given Parkinson's side the lead early into the first period when he pounced from close range after visiting 'keeper Chris Maxwell had got a hand on Billy Clarke's invitingly ball across the six yard box.

The Bantams doubled their advantage shortly after the break when Routis arrived to meet James Hanson's centre across goal and beat Maxwell by his near post in front of a delighted Kop.

Stead and Routis' interventions seemed to have set City on course for a routine victory on home soil but Parkinson's troops were left to think of what might have been following Fleetwood's unexpected late revival.

Despite Fleetwood's injury time leveller, City still had a chance to win it in the final seconds but substitute Francois Zoko fired wide after Hanson's headed knock-down had eventually dropped into his path inside the box.
