Parkinson's men continue their league campaign at Notts County this Saturday before the Bantams take on Reading for their FA Cup Quarter Final replay just two days later.
Following Saturday's trip to Meadow Lane, City will be back on the road the very next day as they travel down to their southern hotel base on Sunday to begin their preparations for the Reading replay.
The quick-fire double-header adds yet more congestion to City's already packed fixture schedule but Parkinson reckons his squad are up for the challenge.
Parkinson said: "There has been a real enthusiasm around the squad over the last couple of days, and you could expect that given the big weekend we have coming up.
"There is a real spring in everyone's step - we have a fantastic weekend ahead of us.
"Everybody is pulling in the right direction and we are ready for action.
"Similarly to what we faced at Coventry City on Tuesday, Notts County are a side fighting for their survival.
"We won't be surprised by the intensity of their performance - we know that they will come flying out the blocks at us. We will be ready for it.
"They have brought a few loan players in recently but they are all players who are familiar to us already.
"In terms of selection, it is all about getting the balance right for us over the course of these two games.
"We made changes prior to the first Reading game and we are comtemplating giving other players a game as well.
"That is not just because of the Reading replay we have coming up but because of the squad we have here and the games we have already had.
"We want to pick the best team with the freshest legs to help get us the result down at Notts County. If we can get a team full of running power on that big Meadow Lane pitch, it will give us a great chance."
After coming off at half time at Coventry City on Tuesday, Andrew Davies is a doubt for the Notts County game due to an arm injury.
Parkinson added: "You can understand with Andrew that there was a concern because he whacked his arm on the same area where he broke it earlier this season.
"We sent him for an x-ray as a precaution, which came back fine. We then sent him to the specialist to get it scanned to be 100% sure.
"He is still in pain but I think the fact that no structural damage has been found will give him a psychological boost."
