WE MUSTN'T FORGET THE POSITIVES FROM FLEETWOOD PERFORMANCE

27 March 2015

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson insists there are plenty of positives to take from last weekend into Saturday's clash with Oldham Athletic, despite the disappointing nature of the final score against Fleetwood Town.

Parkinson's men entertain Oldham at the Coral Windows Stadium this Saturday seven days after drawing 2-2 at home to fellow Play-Off contenders Fleetwood.

City were two goals up and seemingly cruising to victory with less than five minutes of normal time to go before a late double from Fleetwood ensured the visitors took home an unlikely point from the game.

Although Parkinson was clearly frustrated see to City surrender up a strong position in the Fleetwood game, the Bantams chief was keen to point out that there were still a number of good aspects to take from the match.

Parkinson said: "We played really well for the vast majority of the Fleetwood game - we just let ourselves down towards the end.

"We know we have to rectify that but we also have to take a lot of good stuff from the performance.

"I think that was what made the final result all the more frustrating. There were a lot of good individuals performances out there but unfortunately football is a cruel game sometimes and we have to take that disappointment on the chin.

"This Saturday is a good opportunity for us to move on.

"Oldham have had a good couple of wins recently but the lads have trained well this week and they will be ready for the match.

"The aim is to continue to play in the same vein that we did for 80-85 minutes against Fleetwood."
