New City follower Len Gray came down to purchase a season ticket earlier today, and spoke to City Chief Operating Officer James Mason upon purchasing the cut-price ticket and becoming a part of the #OneFourNine campaign.
Not originating from Bradford or the local area, Scotsman Len bought a Bradford City season ticket for the first time ever this week.
He has lived locally in the surrounding areas for many years now, but it’s taken him until now to get in on the act here at the Coral Windows Stadium, with the price a pulling point for sure.
Asked by City Chief Operating Officer James Mason why he decided to buy a season ticket for the upcoming 2015-16 season, Len said: "It was pure mathematics really. For the last few years I’ve been watching live games on the television at the pub.
"For the time it takes for a live game to happen, I’ve been spending £3.50 per pint at my local pub. In the course of a game, I’ve been drinking 3 pints of beer and that amounts to £10.50.’
‘"My pal said to me, hang on a minute, why not go to a live match because it’s actually cheaper that the cost of buying 3 pints of beer. I looked into it, and I came past (the Coral Windows Stadium), and then I thought well, why not? I then found out that a season ticket is just £149!’
"I’m a Celtic fan but I don’t get the chance to get up to Scotland often enough to see them play, perhaps the next best thing might be the local club. I live in Saltaire just a couple of miles up the road, so I guess in effect I’m a Bradfordian - ‘tha knows."
Season Tickets are now on sale in person via the Bantams Ticket Office, over the phone (0871 978 8000) and online - please click HERE.
