PITCH WORK BEGINS

14 May 2015

Pitch renovation work at the Coral Windows Stadium has now begun.

Contractors working on behalf of the club started working on the Valley Parade playing surface this Thursday. The work to improve and redevelop City's pitch is expected to last approximately ten days.

The pitch will undergo a process known as 'koroing' before roughly 200 tones of fibre sand is laid. Work to improve pitch drainage in two specific areas will also take place.

Koroing is where the top layer of the pitch is removed to help with drainage and grass growth. Fibre sand is normally used to help with drainage as well while also improving the stability of the turf itself.

During their work, the club's contractors even had time to throw their support behind City's #ONEFOURNINE campaign!

As most supporters will know now, adults, senior citizens and students can purchase a season ticket for the 2015/2016 campaign for only £149.00. Juniors are priced at just £99.00.

Season Tickets are now on sale in person via the Bantams Ticket Office, over the phone (0871 978 8000) and online - please click  HERE
