CLUB REITERATES ITS BAN ON E-CIGARETTES

26 November 2015

Following a few issues at recent home games, the football club would like to respectfully remind supporters that e-cigarettes cannot be used in the Coral Windows Stadium.

This club policy was announced originally on 19th February 2014.

In 2013/14, the Club operated a trial period by allowing e-cigarettes to be used.

The trial was deemed unsuccessful, however, because from a distance some of the devices look like a cigarette is being used or that smoke is coming from that section.

If other supporters think a cigarette is being used in another section this sometimes encourages them to break the law by lighting-up in the stadium.

In addition, any smoke or vapour from e-cigarette can cause considerable concern and possible distress for supporters in other sections of the stadium.

Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to remind supporters that the smoking tobacco products inside the stadium (including all staircases, entrances and exits) remains illegal and that e-cigarettes are banned by the Club for the reasons outlined above.

These measures are, of course, not new but we would like to take this opportunity of restating the policy and ask for full co-operation from all supporters of the Club.
