Following a bye in round one, City will find out their first opponents of this season's Johnstone's Paint Trophy when the second round draw takes place on the Sky Sports 1 show, Soccer AM, at approximately 10:15am on Saturday morning.
Phil Parkinson's men will be NUMBER 2 in the North East section.
They will be joined in the North East section by Barnsley, Chesterfield, Doncaster Rovers, Notts County, Rochdale, Sheffield United and York City.
