CITY'S RESERVES DRAW AT MORECAMBE

15 September 2015

Bradford City 1 (Webb-Foster 62)
Morecambe 1 (Tomlinson 80)
Final Third Development League - West Division
Tuesday 15 September 2015

Kick Off: 2.00pm
at the Globe Arena

Australian goalkeeper Brad Jones picked up some more valuable game-time playing for City's reserves this Tuesday, as apprentice striker Reece Webb-Foster earned the Bantams a point at Morecambe thanks to a fine second half strike.

Along with left back Greg Leigh and first year pros Jon Lewis and Sam Wright, Jones played the full ninety minutes at Morecambe's Globe Arena.

Dylan Mottley-Henry was given 77 minutes in the game.

Ahead of his trip to watch Sunday's opponents Sheffield United host Colchester United in Sky Bet League 1 this Tuesday evening, Bantams boss Phil Parkinson was in the stands to cast his eye over proceedings.

Following a bright start to the second period, City took the lead against Morecambe thanks to a superb curling drive from just outside the box by Webb-Foster.

The striker - who has netted ten goals for the youth team already this season - had the beating of Shrimps goalkeeper Kieran O'Hara with a brilliant effort in the top corner just past the hour mark.

The goal looked like it could be enough at one point to grab City their second win in the Final Third Development League - West Division but a fierce drive from Morecambe's Lewis Tomlinson earned the hosts a share of the spoils.

Tomlinson's effort from outside the box ten minutes from the end had the beating of Jones as it rattled off the underside of the bar before bouncing into the net.

Webb-Foster still could have won it for the Bantams late on but his free-kick from some distance out rattled against O'Hara's crossbar with only a minute of normal time left.
