PARKINSON LOOKING FOR A RESPONSE

29 September 2015

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson says he will be looking for a strong response from his players this Tuesday evening following Saturday's disappointing home loss to Peterborough United.

Parkinson's men travel to Colchester United on Tuesday night aiming to get back on target after a flat performance against Peterborough at the Coral Windows Stadium.

The City chief will have to make at least one change to his starting eleven at Colchester due to the broken leg unfortunately suffered by Paul Anderson during the Peterborough game.

Given Parkinson's annoyance at the standard of City's showing at the weekend, Anderson's replacement might not be the only alteration made by the Bradford manager for the trip to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Parkinson said: "We must regroup and go again for Tuesday. We need to be put in a more consistent performance across the ninety minutes at Colchester.

"We must to go there and earn a result. We need those intensity levels back.

"We want to play with wingers but we have lost a couple of players now to injury so we need to look at our options.

"Colchester had a good win at the weekend and they are on a decent run of form but we have to go down there and get back to the way we have been playing.

"In our recent away games - Barnsley, Oldham, Fleetwood - we've showed examples of how we can play. We were too flat on Saturday against Peterborough.

"We need to take the qualities from those games on the road and show them on Tuesday evening."
