The Bantams bring the curtain down on their 2016 fixtures this Saturday when they entertain Bury at the Northern Commercials Stadium.
Following their creditable draw with league leaders Scunthorpe United on Boxing Day, Stuart McCall's men will be looking to end the calendar year with victory over the Shakers.
Opponents Bury head to Valley Parade this weekend on the back of their own goalless encounter last time out following a 0-0 draw at play-off hopefuls Fleetwood Town.
That result ended a difficult stretch of twelve straight losses for the Lancashire side.
Bury were sat in second place in the league table at the end of September after a five-match winning run - a sequence that saw then-Shakers boss David Flitcroft awarded the Manager of the Month.
Unfortunately for the Gigg Lane side though, Bury have yet to secure a victory in the league since then, with the winless run costing Flitcroft his job in the middle of November.
The run of defeats has seen Bury slip from their position in the automatic spots to a less comfortable place just outside the relegation zone.
Following Flitcroft's departure, caretaker boss Chris Brass has been given the job on a permanent basis until the end of the season.
Saturday's match is, of course, part of a bumper New Year's weekend for both teams.
After City and Bury's encounter on New Year's Eve, McCall's men will travel to Northampton Town on Bank Holiday Monday, while the Shakers will host Sheffield United on the same day.

Bantams striker Billy Clarke remains ruled out with a calf problem.
City boss Stuart McCall says the Irishman is making progress with his rehab work but he will definitely miss both games over the course of the Bank Holiday weekend.
Winger Filipe Morais will need to be assessed after picking up a slight strain during Monday's draw with Scunthorpe United.
Haris Vuckic is back in contention for a place in McCall's match-day squad after missing the Scunthorpe game due to a minor operation.
Bury
Shakers boss Chris Brass could have a number of senior players back available to him for his side's trip to the Northern Commercials Stadium.
Leon Barnett (calf), Zeli Ismail (knee) and Ishmael Miller (hamstring) have all been making recent progress on Bury's training ground and could feature in some part against City.
Midfielder Andrew Tutte is another who could be back in contention after a bout of illness.
Experienced striker James Vaughan missed the draw at Fleetwood due to a tight thigh but he is likely to return at Valley Parade.
Talented play-maker Danny Mayor was restricted to a role as an unused sub for the Fleetwood game after also suffering some muscle tightness, but he too is expected to be involved on Saturday.
Another injury problem for Bury at Fleetwood saw Niall Maher pull out of the warm-up, meaning Brass handing a first team debut to 16 year-old midfielder Callum Styles.
With 17 year-old defender Jacob Bedeau also in Bury's side at the Highbury Stadium, the Shakers' average age for their line up against Fleetwood was just 24.
Former Bantams duo goalkeeper Ben Williams and left back Greg Leigh are likely to be included in Bury's travelling party for the game, although Williams has been named on the bench in recent matches.
Shot-stopper Rob Lainton is expected to keep goal for the visitors this Saturday, the custodian making his second debut for Bury at Fleetwood after recently rejoining the club on a pay-as-you-play deal.
Centre half Nathan Cameron and Manchester City loanee Kean Bryan remain sidelined due to knee and thigh problems respectively.
Previous Encounters
Bury visited the Northern Commercials Stadium as recently as this October, with City running out 2-1 winners in a Checkatrade Trophy group match following first half goals from Jordy Hiwula and Haris Vuckic.
The Shakers' previous trip to Valley Parade before that also came in a cup competition.
After a goalless ninety minutes and extra time period, Bury claimed victory on penalties in an Emirates FA Cup third round replay back in January.
Bury's most recent league encounter at Bradford ended in a narrow home victory for the Bantams in October last year.
A first half opener from Rory McArdle was added to via an own goal from Reece Brown after the break, helping City on their way to an eventual 2-1 success.
